Troy, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Students in the College of Education met potential new employers thanks to the Education Career Fair.
“We have several school systems from Alabama and also other states that are represented here,” said Arminda McKee, the Assistant Director of Troy University’s Career Services. “So, yes, we are trying to get them prepared and get jobs so when they graduate they will go right into a position”
Students were able to practice certain skills needed in the workplace.
“Work how to meet and greet, network, display professionalism.”

According to McKee, students will soon have the opportunity to talk to employers at the All Majors Career Fair.
“As this one is for our education majors, the [next] event is for all of our students.”
Students who plan to attend the All Majors Career Fair will need to bring a few things.
“Prepare their elevator pitches so when they do get to talk to these employers, they have a general way to introduce themselves and to explain their majors and their goals. Also, bring your resumes.”
McKee hopes all of these opportunities will help students reach their career goals.
The All Majors Career Fair will be on Tuesday, Oct.1st. Along with meeting employers, professional headshots will be provided for students.
