Troy University holds Admitted Student Day

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — High school students were able to explore what could be their future school during Troy’s recent Admitted Student Day.

Monday, admitted students visited different departments across campus, met faculty and staff, spoke to current Troy students, and met fellow incoming students.

“Meeting some girls here that are doing the same thing as me, majoring in broadcast and minoring in communication, has really influenced me a lot,” prospective student Maddy Chames said. “I feel like going to Troy now.”

One group of students toured Wallace Hall, which is home to the Hall School of Journalism and Communication.

Kiawanna Clark, Troy’s North Alabama Regional Recruiter, said “This group of students are very eager and they really want to see what TrojanVision is about and I think this is a great opportunity to learn hands-on.”

The tour also gave parents the opportunity to learn about what their child’s future college campus has to offer.

“I feel very confident that we are able to make an informed decision about her college choice,” said Vergil Chames, father of a prospective student. “It’s been really good today. Really informative, my first time on campus, so I really enjoyed it thus far.”
