TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — With the 2025-2026 school year now at end, TrojanVision has rounded up its top stories from the past 10 months.
From new student identification cards and mid-week dances to a shark attack survivor visiting and a controversial app, the following stories were TrojanVision’s top-performing stories from the 2025-2026 school year, according to social media analytics.
10. Trojan ID gets a new look
21 years after its debut, Troy University’s student identification card design is getting a new look. Molly Griswold has the story.
9. Shooting outside of Veterans Memorial Stadium
An area of celebration quickly turned into a crime scene when at least one shot was fired on TROY’S campus. It happened after police say a woman was shot in the foot outside of the Trojan Fitness and Wellness Center. Simon Brown talks to a bystander who was on Tailgate Terrace when the gun went off.
8. Lulu Gribbin headlines Helen Keller Lecture Series
At 15 years old, Lulu Gribbin survived a shark attack that resulted in the amputation of her left arm and right leg. Nearly two years later, Gribbin shared her incredible story during Troy University’s Helen Keller Lecture Series. Ty Davidson has more.
7. Footwork and Fizz brings students together
TROY’s Student Government Association brought a dance party to the Trojan Center ballrooms to encourage students to meet their campus representatives. Molly Griswold takes us there.
6. Sound of the South Drumline holds interest meeting
Members of the Sound of the South drummed up interest in joining the sots drumline. Dawson Parks was there as potential band members got their first look at life on the line.
5. Students give surprise farewell to Dominique Angel
Troy’s Department of Theatre and Dance said farewell to a longtime ballet instruction. Ty Davidson shows us how students from past and present surprised their beloved teacher.
4. ATO brothers begin Walk Hard preparation
While some students were preparing to go on trips or go home to relax for Spring Break, the brothers of Alpha Tau Omega were preparing for six straight days of walking. Ty Davidson has more.
