Troy University’s campus came alive on Saturday as over 400 families gathered for Trojan Day, which offered opportunities for prospective students and their families to tour TROY’s campus, meet with faculty and staff, explore student organizations, and learn more about academic programs, scholarships, and student life.
“Trojan Day is all about getting students on our campus to show them what we have to offer,” said Gus McKenzie, Senior Director of Enrollment Management.
For Gracie Layne Smith, Coordinator of Campus Experiences, this year’s Trojan Day was extra special.
“This was my very first Trojan Day, and it has been incredible to see it all come together,” Smith said. “Our admissions team has worked so hard to create a welcoming and informative experience for our guests, and I couldn’t be prouder of the energy and excitement on campus today.”
Adrian Grey, a prospective student interested in Computer Science, said the visit confirmed that Troy University is the right fit.
“The campus is beautiful, and everyone here has been so welcoming,” Grey said. “I’ve learned a lot about the programs and resources available, and I can really see myself studying here.”
Bella Marcel, a high school senior from Baldwin County, Alabama, shared a similar sentiment.
“I’m really interested in elementary education, and TROY has an amazing program,” Marcel said. “The campus just has such a friendly, home-like atmosphere.”
Trojan Day is held twice a year, during the fall and spring. A gallery of images from the event can be viewed here.
