Troy University is reaffirming its commitment to military students as the University transitions to a new tuition and fee structure.

Under the “TROY Military Commitment,” eligible military students will continue to receive substantial tuition support and complimentary course materials. The University also has announced that military students will not be responsible for the $50-per-credit-hour general fee for undergraduate courses.

“For decades, TROY has proudly served the men and women of America’s Armed Forces and their families, and that commitment remains strong,” said Scot Brumbeloe, director of Military and Veterans Affairs at Troy University. “We recognize that this transition has been challenging for some of our current military students, particularly those who have become accustomed to little or no out-of-pocket expense.”

Military students will be responsible only for applicable course fees associated with their academic programs. For most programs, the course fee is $24 per credit hour. Business courses carry a $50-per-credit-hour course fee, while Nursing courses carry a $75-per-credit-hour course fee.

“We understand that any additional educational expense can have an impact on our students and their families,” Brumbeloe said. “At the same time, we want our military students to understand the significant investment TROY continues to make in high-quality degree programs that prepare students for success after graduation.”

TROY offers programs with specialized accreditations, including the Sorrell College of Business, which is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

“The TROY Military Commitment represents our continued promise to make a high-quality TROY education as accessible and affordable as possible,” Brumbeloe said. “For generations, TROY has been proud to serve those who serve, and we value the trust our military students place in us.”

The program is just one of several ways the University supports Active-Duty, Reserve, National Guard, veterans and their families.
