“I’m just in shock and honored. I’m so thankful to embody the University that means so much to me,” she said. “This University has given me more than I could ever repay and I’m so thankful.”
Pemberton is a senior psychology major from Dothan, Alabama, and is the son of Donnie and Erika Pemberton. He is sponsored by FarmHouse Fraternity and was escorted by his mother.
“I wasn’t expecting this at all—it’s the greatest honor and I’m so excited right now,” he said. “It was an honor to be nominated by my fraternity and I’m going to get out there and represent them and my school”
TROY Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Student Government Association President Chris Hood, and 2025 Homecoming Queen and King Madison McElrath and Bradley Smith participated in the halftime ceremony recognizing this year’s honorees. Wallace was crowned, and Pemberton was presented with a TROY sword during halftime of the Trojans’ football game against Louisiana Tech.
