Craig Pittman, a TROY alumnus and author of the new book 'Cat Tale,' was recently named a Literary Legend by the Florida Heritage Book Festival Board.

Craig Pittman, a 1981 Troy University graduate, Florida native, author and columnist for the Tampa Bay Times, has been named the Florida Heritage Book Festival Board’s Literary Legend 2020.

His acceptance of an award with a significant title like “Legend” has yet to fully sink in for the environmentally conscious nonfiction book writer.

Dr. Jessica Jones has run a long way from her hometown of Sulphur Springs, Indiana (population 374), and next week she will be running around the globe.

The 1999 Troy University graduate and microbiologist will compete in the World Marathon Challenge, a challenge in which competitors run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days.
