Art and design alumni rebrand Downtown Troy

Studio 207, a multi-media design company owned by four TROY art and design graduates, has rebranded Downtown Troy to include redesigned logos, updated colors and a refreshed social media presence.

Launched on Tuesday, August 19, through social media announcing the changes, the new logo for Downtown Troy features an illustration of the water tower overlooking the city and the new official colors, which are called “Goin’ Downtown Blue,” “Troy City Blue,” and “Troy City Gold.”

Founded and based in Troy, AL, Studio 207 is owned by recent TROY graduates Reanna Thompson, Jared Hester, Howard Purvee and Nathan Hobbs. The group has been working behind the scenes on the launch for months.

“We are so blessed to be able to leave our mark on the city we love,” said Reanna Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of Studio 207. “We had no idea when we arrived as freshmen that we would be where we are now, but at this point I can’t imagine being anywhere else.”

“We’ve put a lot of work into making this a successful rebrand, and it’s truly rewarding to see how well the community has reacted to it so far,” said Jared Hester, Head Designer at Studio 207.

“It’s super exciting and I can’t wait to share more of our upcoming projects,” said Howard Purvee, Chief Marketing Officer of Studio 207.

In just under two years, Studio 207 has worked with Troy Regional, Downtown Troy, The Idea Bank and multiple small businesses in Troy to establish themselves as a member of the local business community.

“I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be able to create with my friends and have a lasting impact like this,” said Nathan Hobbs, the fourth owner of Studio 207. “Hopefully, we’re just getting started.”

“It’s incredible to see our graduates making such an impact in the community; their success is our success, this is why I teach,” said Chris Stagl, Associate Professor of Design.

Studio 207’s office is located in the Troy Idea Bank in one of the three incubator offices. To learn more about Studio 207, visit their website. To view the new campaign, visit the Downtown Troy Facebook page
