Troy University students within the Department of Art and Design had their artwork displayed in the Johnson Center for the Arts from Nov. 9, 2025 through January 17, 2026.
Assistant Professor of Design, Thiffany Belda, said the Student Art Showcase celebrated the strength and diversity of creative practice within the department.
“It reflects our commitment to creative growth and collaboration while providing students with a professional platform to present their work publicly and gain real-world experience that prepares them for careers in the arts and design,” Belda said.
During the reception on Jan. 16, awards were given to students for their work. Caylin Riley, a sophomore from Brundidge who is majoring in both studio art and art education, won the award for Best in Show for her sculpture titled “Brutus.”

Riley said it meant the world to have her artwork displayed in an art gallery.

“The fact that it won “best in show” was actually insane,” Riley said. “I am so grateful to have won such an honorable award for something I made.”
Other awards are as follows:
Juror Award 1: Jessica Fleischmann – “Still Life 1” (Oil Painting)

Juror Award 2: Emily Robbins – “36 Days of Type” (Graphic Design Typography)
