TROY alumna Dana Hendrix is the Sorrell College of Business' Director of Development.

TROY alumna Dana Hendrix has been named Director of Development in the Sorrell College of Business.

 Before joining TROY’s Development Office team in October, she served as the Workforce Development Coordinator at Southeast AlabamaWorks! Previously, Hendrix led the Pike County Chamber of Commerce as President from 2019-2023. 

“Dana brings a wealth of experience in community leadership and relationship development that will advance the strategic priorities of the Sorrell College of Business,” sad Sorrell College Dean Dr. Judson Edwards. “We’re excited to have her leading our development efforts and strengthening relationships with the friends and supporters who help make our College’s growth and success possible.”

She holds both baccalaureate and master’s degrees in elementary education from TROY and began her professional career as an elementary teacher in the Troy City Schools system.

 Successfully making the transition from elementary education to the business world, Hendrix has served in a variety of community and statewide organizations, most recently completing a term on the boards of directors of Business Council of Alabama, Troy Regional Medical Center Foundation, Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama, Wiregrass Resource Conservation & Development, the Southeast Alabama STEM Learning Ecosystem Steering Committee and has been a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama. She has also served as president of the Troy-area Kappa Delta Alumnae Association, president of the Troy Junior Women’s League and served four years on the Keep Troy Beautiful committee.
