Nearly 1,000 prospective Trojans submitted applications during the Fall Worldwide Open House on Oct. 24.
The Fall Open House is TROY’s largest annual recruiting event, and this year was the biggest ever, with 997 applications submitted.
The event connects prospective students with TROY’s expert advisers to answer questions and explore degree options. Application fees are waived for anyone who applies during the Open House event.
Many who attended said they appreciated the chance to visit and connect with staff. Alyssa Lester, a TROY alumna, said the experience brought back fond memories of her undergraduate days.
“I am a TROY Alumna wishing to return for my master’s and I had chills thinking about all the awesome memories that I made in Troy while obtaining my bachelor’s,” Lester said.
The event also included an online “virtual open house,” giving prospective students around the world a chance to experience TROY via a video presentation.
“I absolutely loved this video,” said Audreviah Mosley. “It was spot on and I felt the genuine love from everyone that spoke about TROY.”
Anyone who missed the fall event will have another chance in the new year. The date for the Spring Open House will be announced in early 2020.
“This Fall’s Open House was an unprecedented success,” said Buddy Starling, Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. “We’ve seen consistent progression in our event turnout and expect continued growth in future events.”
