Kaitlin Beyler, a senior biomedical sciences major from Alabaster, has been crowned as the 2018 Homecoming queen at Troy University.

Beyler, the daughter of Annette Beyler, was crowned by Gov. Kay Ivey, Troy University Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Student Government Association President Gus McKenzie and 2017 Homecoming queen Amy Russo during a halftime ceremony at Saturday’s Homecoming game against Louisiana at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

“I’m so excited and grateful for this opportunity to represent this school,” Beyler said. “I never that this would happen. Troy University has done so much for me and I really have no words for how much this means to me.”

Beyler, who was sponsored by Chi Omega sorority, was escorted by her mother and her grandfather, Fred Beyler.

Members of the Homecoming Court took part in the annual Homecoming Parade, presented by the Pike Area Chamber of Commerce, and were recognized during pre-game festivities.
