Troy University and the City of Tallassee have entered into a partnership that will give city employees a 10% scholarship on tuition for all TROY programs, both online and in-class.
In addition to the scholarship, TROY will waive all application fees for City of Tallassee employees.
The partnership will enable city employees to pursue degrees that could lead to advancement within the organization, said Lynne Firmin, Project and Corporate Relations Coordinator for Troy University.
“This new partnership will support continued professional development and education for City of Tallassee employees through the numerous degree programs and learning formats available at TROY,” Firmin said.
John Hammock, Mayor of Tallassee, called the partnership a great opportunity for city employees.
“I think it’s a great benefit for the City of Tallassee to work with Troy University in developing the highly-skilled workforce we need,” Hammock said. “This is a great opportunity for city employees to take advantage of this scholarship and further their education.”
Troy University partners with numerous businesses, health systems, school districts, municipalities, professional associations, and other organizations to offer employees unique opportunities for educational enhancement and career advancement. For information, visit www.troy.edu/partnerships.
