Troy University will celebrate Homecoming on Nov. 1, as the Trojans welcome Sun Belt Conference-foe Arkansas State to Veterans Memorial Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

This year’s Homecoming theme is “There’s No Place Like TROY.” TROY students and organizations will compete in various activities throughout the week. Organizational competition winners will be announced during the Homecoming game.

The day will be filled with festivities, beginning with the annual Homecoming Parade in downtown Troy. The parade, which is set to begin at 10 a.m., is presented by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce.

Following the parade, various alumni groups will tailgate across campus. The TROY Alumni Association will hold its alumni tailgate at the Alumni House, beginning at 3 p.m.

The Homecoming Court will be introduced during pregame activities, and the Homecoming Queen will be crowned during halftime. Also, during halftime, the University will recognize this year’s Alumni of the Year recipients with an on-the-field presentation. This year, three Alumni of the Year awards will be presented to Boyd Busby (’99), Forrest Latta (’80), Steve Timberlake (’81) and Randal Ward (’77).

“Homecoming is always a special time for the TROY family,” said Faith Byrd, Director of Alumni Affairs. “I encourage all alumni to take this opportunity to see our beautiful and growing campus, renew old friendships and make new ones, tailgate and celebrate your pride in your alma mater and, of course, cheer on the Trojans to victory.”
