The week’s activities will culminate in the homecoming game, Saturday, Nov. 9, as the Trojans play host to Georgia Southern at 2:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Activities will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 as students “Chalk the Quad,” putting football players’ names and numbers around the Bibb Graves Quad. Other student-centered activities throughout the week include “TROY’s Got Talent” at 7 p.m. on Nov. 4 on the Bibb Graves Quad, a blood drive, an International Food Fair in Trojan Dining on Nov. 7, and a pep rally at halftime of the men’s basketball game against UAB, at 7 p.m. on Nov. 7 in Trojan Arena.

In addition to student activities, TROY faculty and staff can get involved in the Spirit Day door and office decoration contests. Troy Campus winners will be selected on Nov. 8.

The Troy University Alumni Association also has several activities slated for Homecoming weekend.

“Homecoming is always a special time for our alumni,” said Faith Byrd, director of Alumni Affairs. “It is always exciting to see our alumni come back to campus, marvel at the changes and take part in all of the activities. It is a time that we can truly celebrate being ‘Trojans One and All’.”

Alumni activities will kick off at 5 p.m. on Friday with the World War II-era Alumni Reunion at the Stadium Club, located on the fourth floor of the R. Douglas Hawkins Press Box.

The Troy University Homecoming and Appreciation Day Parade will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, on the Square in downtown Troy. The parade, presented by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the City of Troy, will begin at 10 a.m. For additional information, visit the Chamber of Commerce’s website.

Tailgating will begin at the Alumni House at 11 a.m., including reunions by the Clipson Alumni Chapter, Alumni Cheerleaders, and former drum majors of the Sound of the South. The University’s Homecoming Court will be introduced during pre-game activities at the Veterans Memorial Stadium. Halftime activities will include the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and the presentation of Alumni of the Year awards by the TROY Alumni Association.

Homecoming events will wrap up following the game with the annual Trojan Tailgaters Scholarship Ball, which will be held in the Trojan Center Ballrooms at 7:30 p.m. A silent auction will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The $30 admission charge goes to help support scholarships for deserving Troy University students.
