The Future Teacher Summit will be hosted by Troy University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM in Hawkins Hall on the Troy University main campus. This event’s purpose is to serve as an inspiration to prospective students who are interested in pursuing a teaching career.

“The Future Teacher Summit demonstrates Troy University’s dedication to cultivating the next generation of educators through intentional programming and personalized engagement,” said by Mrs. Angela Carpenter, TROY lecturer.

“By bringing prospective teachers together with current students, faculty, and accomplished professionals like The Hellen Keller speaker Claudia Crosby, the University showcases its comprehensive approach to teacher preparation. The event reflects our commitment to not just recruiting talented individuals into education, but actively supporting their exploration, growth, and success from the very beginning of their journey.”

During this summit, there will be many unique opportunities to be introduced to and learn more about the various teacher education programs here at Troy University, as well as moments to experience campus life in real-time and understand the full journey to becoming certified to teach.

These opportunities include:

  • Chances to participate in informative sessions on program requirements.
  • Discussions in which participants are able to interact with current students in their programs.
  • Chances to observe current classes in action.

There will also be lunch for the students in the Trojan Dining Hall, courtesy of College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. As the day concludes, everyone is welcome to attend a guided tour of our beautiful campus, where there will be chances to see dorms, academic classrooms, and other areas important to TROY student life.

Please note that the campus tour is a walking tour. To request special accommodations, contact the Office of Admissions at 334-670-3179.
