Troy University and the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce have entered into a partnership that will give employees of Chamber member organizations a 10% scholarship on tuition for all TROY programs, both online and in-class.

In addition to the scholarship, TROY will waive all application fees for Chamber member employees. The same benefits apply to employees of the Chamber.

The partnership will add value to Chamber membership, said Karen J. Odle, President/CEO of the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce, and it will strengthen member businesses by making higher education more accessible for their employees.

“In Vestavia Hills, we value education, as is evidenced by our school system, which encourages lifelong learning for every citizen,” Odle said. “This partnership will only enhance that effort. It will help our businesses by making college more affordable for employees striving to advance their career or for employees looking for advanced educational degrees. We are excited about this opportunity for our businesses and look forward to a successful, long-term partnership.”

Lynne Firmin, Project and Corporate Relations Coordinator for Troy University, said TROY is proud to welcome the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce to its growing group of corporate partners.

“This new partnership will support continued professional development and education for Chamber members through the numerous degree programs and learning formats available at TROY,” Firmin said. “This supports Vestavia Hills’ reputation as a community that values a skilled and knowledgeable workforce”
