Troy University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts to present ‘Sounds of the Season’

The free "Sounds of the Season" concert is set for 7:30 p.m., Thursday in the Claudia Crosby Theater on the Troy Campus.

Troy University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts will present “Sounds of the Season,” a traditional holiday celebration, on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Claudia Crosby Theater.

The production, entitled “Illuminations,” will feature performances by the Symphony Band, Collegiate Singers, Troy Theatre Ensemble, Concert Chorale, frequency, Gospel Singers, Jazz Ensemble, POPulus, Celtic Ensemble and faculty soloists.

This holiday celebration is the opening concert of the 2017 Middle School Southeast United States (SEUS) Honors Band weekend and is free and open to the public.

The SEUS Honors Band Clinic, which will take place Dec. 7-9 on the Troy Campus, will also feature performances by the Simmons Middle School Band of Hoover at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, West Jackson Middle School of Jefferson, Ga., at 1:45 p.m. on Friday and Honors Bands at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
