Troy University’s graduate counseling programs have transitioned fully to online delivery in an effort to provide greater flexibility for graduate students pursuing careers in clinical mental health, school or rehabilitation counseling.
The following Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP)-accredited programs are now available in a fully online format:
- M.S. in Counseling: Clinical Mental Health Counseling
- M.S. in Counseling: Rehabilitation Counseling
- M.S.Ed. in Counseling: School Counseling
Dr. Sherrionda H. Crawford, Department Chair and Associate Professor of School and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, said the shift from in-person classes to online learning provides greater accessibility and flexibility for students seeking to balance their educational, family and career obligations.
“Troy University’s CACREP-accredited counseling programs have officially transitioned to an online platform. The shift from in-person classes to fully online learning offers students an exciting opportunity. It provides much more flexibility and makes it easier for students to balance their education with personal and professional commitments,” she said. “With no geographical barriers to worry about, aspiring counselors can create a study schedule that works best for them, making the learning experience more accessible to everyone.”
Graduates of these programs are prepared for careers in various settings, including schools, mental health clinics, vocational rehabilitation centers, and private practice. Licensure requirements may vary by state.
