I am a very busy person. Trying to work, go to school, be a part of five organizations, and have a social life can get overwhelming.  It is important in college to take care of yourself, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. College is one of the best times ever but it can get a little hectic and stressful at times.

Alone Time- It is important to have time set aside just for you. Its great being around people but sometimes you just want to be alone. This is a great time to catch up on sleep, or your favorite television shows. It gives you time to just wind down and rest.

Keeping a schedule- Keeping a schedule in college is very important. It’s a great way for me to keep my life organized. I write down when my assignments are due, when I have to work, and when I have meetings. Organization is a major part of college.

Being unproductive- It’s okay to not do anything. Just put your work to the side and go hang with your friends. Take a mini trip. It’s okay to do something not school related.

Stress reliever- Find a great stress reliever. It might be shopping, playing sports, or exercising. This helps mentally and physically. Your brain gets a break and you can actually do something that you enjoy.

Stay Healthy- The most important thing is your health! Eating right and working out seem to take a back burner in college because you’re so busy and eating healthy is just so expensive. I work out every other day and I try my best to eat healthy. You should also make sure you are mentally healthy. There is always someone on campus if you ever need anyone to just talk to.

College is amazing and with these tips it will be even better.
