Troy professor Carl Vollrath’s opera, “The Quest” has a new life on YouTube, after being unavailable to the public for half of a century. Troy Public Radio’s Hannah Leverett says the opera’s online release has renewed interest in Vollrath’s music.

Vollrath’s opera ‘The Quest’ finds new audience through YouTube

An opera written and composed a Troy University music professor in the 1960s and only performed on three consecutive nights in 1966 has now been reprised for a larger audience on YouTube.

Confucius Institute trip inspired new album from TROY professor
