Two senior information systems students in the Sorrell College of Business have been awarded scholarships from Information Systems Security Association’s Central Alabama chapter.

The awards mark the first time TROY students have received the scholarships, said Sven Aelterman, lecturer of information technology and director of IT for the college.

Hurricane Michael devastated parts of Jackson County, which is one of several Florida counties receiving application fee waivers at TROY.

With many current and prospective Troy University students living in areas affected by Hurricane Michael, University officials have announced an extension of the institution’s deadline for scholarships, to ensure all interested applicants have a chance to apply.
