Summer Spectacular gives future teachers experience

For the 25th year, Troy University is giving its education students a chance at hands-on teaching through its Summer Spectacular program.

The program, which began at the Dothan Campus and has now expanded to the Phenix City and Troy campuses, features TROY students leading a hands-on summer camp for children ages 4 through 12.

Registration is open for Troy University’s Summer Spectacular, which will give Wiregrass children an educational summer adventure.

The annual learning enrichment camp, open to children ages 4 through 12, takes place in Adams Hall at TROY’s Dothan Campus June 5-28 every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon.

Summer Spectacular brings valuable experience to education students

Education majors had a chance to gain some hands-on experience during Troy University’s annual Summer Spectacular.

The month-long learning enrichment camp took place during June at the Dothan Campus and allowed TROY students to lead patriotic-themed lesson plans for more than 50 children between the ages of 4 and 12.
