Troy University football team gets behind the scenes help from graduate assistants.

While it usually the coaches and the players who get all of the glory on game days there is a group behind the scenes that keep things running smoothly for the team… graduate assistants.

The graduate assistant are students who work throughout the week to help coaches and player prepare for each week’s game.

A G.A., as they are often called, usually work long hours and don’t get any additional pay for the work they do. Oftentimes they work for a team for the love of the game.

“The love of football, seeing the impact that coaches that I had growing up had on me was a big part of it,” says TROY Football Graduate Assistant Jordan McDaniel on why he got involved with student coaching.
