COVID-19 is keeping most fans a little farther away from action in Trojan Arena this season but there is a way for some fans to get to be close to the court through cut-outs.
Troy Athletics is offering fans a chance to purchase cut-out pictures of themselves to be seated in the first few rows of Trojan Arena during basketball games this season.
COVID protocols restrict how close fans can be seated to the court this season so the athletic department figured this would be a fun way to get “fans” in those seats this season.
“We are limited to our capacity but we wanted all of our fans to still feel like they were a part of Trojan Arena and a part of both men’s and women’s basketball teams,” says Jonathan Swalley, Director of Fan Engagement. “That’s why we decided to do the fan cut-outs for this season. Just so the fans could feel like they have a part in every game even they are here or aren’t here.”
