The safety of students at night on campus was the focus of TROY’s Student Government Association this week as they made plans for their Spring Night Walk.
The Night Walk is an event the SGA holds each semester to help ensure campus safety for students during the nighttime hours.
The SGA’s safety committee walks through campus to try and find areas that could pose potential issues for students walking through campus at night.
“Basically the committee will tour the campus with campus police,” said SGA Executive Vice President Carter Ray. ” They will highlight different areas of campus that need some attention and will also make notes if there is any sort of potential hazard or if there is any potential safety issue on campus.”
