TROY Athletics looks to name broadcast booth in honor of Hall of Fame broadcaster Ralph Black.

The Hall of Fame Voice of the Trojans Ralph Black will be remembered for generations to come as TROY Athletics has established a memorial fundraiser to name the home radio booth in Veteran Memorial Stadium in his memory.

Black passed away in July 2020 and spent 26 years as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Trojans.

Information on the fundraiser including how to donate can be found at

The memorial is something current Voice of the Trojans Barry McKnight says will be a great way to honor Black’s legacy.

“I think it’s just a really strong way to finally recognize it and realize just the commitment that he made and how much he did mean to TROY and TROY athletics, the community of troy and certainly for the TROY sports broadcast,” says McKnight.
