The TROY community came together to help promote racial unity in an event that, in its second year, took on added meaning.
The second annual Unity Prayer Breakfast was held on Wednesday morning and feature a keynote address from the founder of Montgomery’s Valiant Cross Academy Anthony Brock.
“Most of us have more things in common than we do differences,” says Brock. “We just have to have build authentic relationships through conversations and just including everybody in the conversations and the topics that we discuss on a daily basis.”
This year’s event took on added meaning as it was announced that the ballrooms in the Trojan Center have been renamed in honor of member of the Troy University Board of Trustees and Troy University’s first ever African-American Student Government President Lamar Higgins.
