Troy University Library celebrates Banned Books Week

Some of the most popular books of all time at some point have probably been banned, it happens more often than you think, the Troy University library spent a week celebrating books that have been banned or censored.

An array of banned books throughout history was on display in the library along with free copies of banned books for students to take home.

“I think it is a great exhibit for us to get books in the hands of our students which is a big deal,” says Dean of Library Services Dr. Chris Shaffer. “But it also a way to discuss issues like freedom of the press, freedom of speech, things of that nature.”
