Troy University students got crafty while also learning about Chinese culture through the art of traditional paper cutting.
The event held by Troy University’s Chinese Culture Club allowed students to try their hand at making the paper designs and learn their meanings.
“Today we did two patterns,” says presenter Chau Luu. “The first one is Shaungxi which means double happiness. Usually people do it for a decoration for a newlywed couples doors or window and the second one is the 3D pattern we call Chun which means spring and we use it on New Years or springtime.”
