Former Nine Inch Nails drummer takes part in Troy University’s MIC Check Music Industry Showcase.

A former drummer for the band Nine Inch Nails was on the Troy University campus as a part of the Music Industry program’s MIC Check Showcase.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Chris Vrenna was a special guest teaching students about audio engineering and critiquing student performances.

Vrenna says that music is something that has always been a part of his life.

“I started playing drums when I was six years old,” says Vrenna. “But my dad just noticed that like age four and five that I just naturally would bang on stuff or march around to music and I seem to connect to it. It’s weird because it’s been part of my life for so long now I actually like it just feels like it’s literally always been there as far back as my brain goes.”
