Journalism students from Banks School got a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making a television newscast.
“When they come here on this tour, we give them the the full tour of the station,” says TV Manager Aaron Taylor. “We take them through the newsroom. We show them how the shows are produced. We talk about how how shows are put together and then we give them the walking tour. Then they end by watching our midday newscast.
Banks students were able to walk around the set and see for themselves how a real newscast works.
“We come here every year to tour TrojanVision with Mr Taylor,” says Banks Journalism Teacher LaToya Gay. “So just here to give them some authentic or real world learning experience.”
