TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Days before TROY’s Spring Break, Troy University’s Police Department (TUPD) partnered up with Jim Whaley Tires to provide free vehicle checks for students.
“We like to thank our partners, Jim Whaley, for coming out,” said Patrol Officer Peyton Thomas. “We’re just wanting to check the oil, air pressure, provide some safety tips for our students before they hit the vote for Spring Break.”
The team at Jim Whaley checked car engines, oil, and tire pressure for those who stopped by.
“Check your tires, check your air pressure, just the normal stuff really,” said Jim Whaley technician Chase Jenks.
TUPD provided snacks, drinks, and safety tips to keep cool and safe.
“Drive safe, buckle your seat belt, drive speed limit, never go anywhere alone,” Thomas suggested. “I always have a friend, especially in locations that you’re not familiar with.”
Both TUPD and Jim Whaley Tires urged everyone going on Spring Break to keep safe on the road while having fun in the sun Jameson Fowler.
