New semester sparks new goals for Trojan Nation

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — The fall semester has officially started and students are ready to tackle a new year at TROY.

“I’m excited to be back,” said sophomore Allison Bowman. “I was definitely bored this summer, there’s been nothing going on for me but I’m just ready to get my life back together.”

“It feels good to see everybody dressed up and ready for school,” said senior Jordan Yates.

“I’m just excited to get this year going, ready to get back into this swing of everything and just hoping to have a good year,” said junior Parker Sessions.

“I’m just taking it day by day and hoping that it doesn’t go too quickly but it don’t last forever,” said senior Marcelles Martin.

Some students are experiencing the Trojan life for the very first time. McKinley Murray is a freshman from Montana. She told TrojanVision that she’s glad the transition has been easy.

“It can be very stressful coming all the way from Montana, it can be really nerve-wracking but all the people here are so welcoming and genuine. I’ve been able to meet so many different friends.”

With classes and events now in full swing on campus, some students have goals they want to achieve.

“My goal is just to finish out strong,” Yates said.

“I really want to make the dean’s list or the provost’s list,” Martin said.

“Keep up my good grades and just kind of grow as a person,” Sessions said.

“I want to maintain my GPA,” said Bowman.
