TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Troy University’s Alumni House is working to raise money for a new facility.
Currently, Troy University’s Alumni Association is based out of a facility across from Veterans Memorial Stadium. It was dedicated in October 2004.
Details about the new alumni center remain limited, but based on the Alumni Association’s website, the new facility is expected to include a grand ballroom and bar, a terrace, offices, a catering kitchen, and a Past President’s room. The facility is also expected to be built in where the current building is located.

“We don’t want to leave the spot because it’s an awesome spot but we hope to build a very new and modern building that can hold even more alumni,” said Director of Alumni Affairs Faith West Byrd. “There is still a lot of planning to do before work on the new center can start. We’re at the point now where we’re going out to seek funding for building.”
Although the full price of the facility hasn’t been released, prices for recognition opportunities range upward of two million dollars.
“We can’t wait for to be able to share you know all the information with our alumni and we hope that they will all consider giving a gift back to this because it will be their home to come back to,” West said.
