The statement also said to expect road blockages due to the Band Party on Friday night, and the Homecoming Parade on Saturday morning.
“You may find road blockages and things like that but officers will be at those posts and they will help you get to where you need to go,” Barron said.
In light of a shooting that took place a few weeks ago after a football game, Barron has a message to visitors who may be planning to cause trouble.
“Any attempts to disrupt the festivities or engage in criminal behavior will not be tolerated. We’re going to have plenty of people out Friday night, Saturday, the night of Homecoming.”
Overall, TPD’s goal is for everyone to have a safe and fun Homecoming.
