TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Troy Volleyball is set to finish its regular season at home this week after a season filled with ups and downs. One of the main ups of the season is senior Tori Hester.

This season, Trojan volleyball has seen records shattered by Hester. Hester has set the record for Troy’s all-time kills and all-time points.

“I have been working hard, and I’ve dreamed of doing college volleyball, DI volleyball, so it’s a really good accomplishment, and I’m very proud to have that. I wouldn’t be able to do it without my team obviously but it is cool.”

Hester’s love of volleyball goes back to her childhood and growing up in a sports family.

“I remember growing up my mom was a volleyball coach so I was always around it. Then my sister started playing and I was the little girl following everyone around on my sister’s team. My dad also played sports, so I have just been around it my whole life.”

Hester credits her father with always telling her to play hard and have fun, which is the mindset she brings to every match.

Looking to the future, Hester plans to finish out the season strong and complete her master’s degree in communication.
