Tucker Kilcrease named Davey O’Brian National Quarterback of the Week

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — After the game against Texas state, quarterback Tucker Kilcrease was named Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week.

The recognition came after Kilcrease threw 415 yards that resulted in five touchdowns in the Texas state game, which gave the Trojans the win in overtime.

“Definitely finishing the first half points coming outscoring and then Patty doing a great job on that kick being able to get the ball back must be able to score some points right there,” Kilcrease said. “I think It helped us a lot, but I think the whole second half, the defense played their butts off and only gave about 10 points and then they got the stop to win the game.”

“I had to just be ready to step in to a leadership role and I got to just do my best to leave my guys and do my best to take coaching in every single day and just enjoy the moment.”

The Trojans went on to beat ULM Monroe 37 to 14. The Trojans will be back in action on Oct. 25 against the Ragin Cajuns at 6 p.m.
