TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Troy Regional has been named a top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by the Chartis Center for Rural Health for the second year in a row.
“This is not an award that you pay for, this is one we received,” said Jonathan Sellers, Marketing and Communications Director. “They got the data through publicly available data, through quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.
“These are all things that we really pride ourselves on.
At Troy Regional, employees say the daily work is not just about rankings; it’s about the care the patients receive every day.

“It stands out in Alabama because, we are so close knit and I just think that we hold ourselves to such standards,” said Rebecca Taylor, Human Resources. “We just love working and being in Troy, helping everyone here that’s a part of the community.”
Hospital staff say their mission is one that goes beyond the awards and focuses directly on those seeking care.
“I think it just goes to show the trust we have with our patients,” Sellers said. “That our patients trust the services that we are giving them, the quality of care that we give them while they’re here.”
CEO Rick Smith credits the hard work of the staff and support of the city for this recognition. Troy Regional remains the only hospital in Alabama to earn that title.
