TROYAPALOOZA encourages participants to rock like legends

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — With food, fun, and frights, POPulus took the stage, giving students a soundtrack for the spooktacular celebration.

“I always really enjoy performing with Populus,” said Christian Pale, a vocalist for Populus. “It’s super great to be able to come out here and play and provide music to students around Troy.”

“It was awesome, even when we make mistakes I mean people are here just for a good time. I’ts great all around.”

The fun didn’t stop with the music. Students also showed off their Halloween spirit during a costume contest, bringing some creative spooky looks to campus.

“I am Princess Buttercup from the Princess Bride,” said Abby Mcmath, a junior history major from Pace, Florida. “While you’re in college you should take advantage of the things that bring your school together and bring you community together and just fun things you can do with your friends for free and this was an amazing opportunity to do that.”

Students also got a chance to screen print their very own TROYAPALOOZA t-shirt provided by the International Arts Center.

“It’s pretty easy,” said Jonathan Greer, a sophomore economics major from Prattville, Alabama. “You know there’s a lot of crowds there but you know they got volunteers to help you do it.

“It’s a great time”

With costumes, music, and activities for everyone, TROYAPALOOZA gave students a chance to let loose and enjoy a frightfully fun time outside the classroom.
