TROY, Ala (TROJANVISION) — Although Christmas is months away, the crew behind Christmas in Ansley is already hard at work.

“We started in 2018 but for me it started way longer than that,” said Shanna Taylor, one of the co-founders of Christmas in Ansley. “We started in our yard and then moved it closer to the road for people to see and then it went from there.”

Christmas in Ansley is a drive through lightshow hosted right outside of Troy. Guests enjoy seven acres of lights and holiday displays as well as seasonal treats and shopping. Taylor also says it’s her family’s way of sharing their faith.

“To me Christmas in Ansley is to spread Jesus to the community,” said Taylor.

However, a lot of hard work goes into putting the event together.

“You would not believe the amount of money that it takes,” said Taylor.

Due to how expensive putting the show together is sponsors are a necessity.

“There is no way to be able to put this on without them,” said Taylor. “We financially could not do it.”
