Anna Grace Tucker, a junior business major from Huntsville, Alabama, was crowned Miss Troy University 2026 during the 53rd annual pageant on the Troy Campus.
As Miss Troy University, Tucker earned a $7,500 scholarship, will serve as an ambassador for the University and will compete for the title of Miss Alabama.
“I’m so excited to be Miss Troy, I don’t think I’m going to sleep tonight. I’m so excited to do my duties as Miss Troy this year,” she said. “I love each and every one of the girls I competed with and I’m so proud of them. I know the guts it took to go out there and I definitely formed new friends.”
Her community service initiative, “Say It Out Loud,” aims to shed a light on speech disorders, like apraxia.
“’Say It Out Loud’ is for anyone with a speech disorder,” Tucker said. “I have apraxia, which is a speech-sound disorder that makes it hard to articulate words. I have it, and my brother does as well, so I saw this as a way for me to spread awareness about speech disorders.”
For her talent portion, she performed a jazz lyrical dance to “Wellerman.” Tucker is a member of Miss Elite, the Troy University Activities Council and is a dancer in the Sound of the South dance line. She also plays the ukelele.
“I wanted to compete because of service to a community that has already given so much to me, whether through church or organizations, and I want to give back. I love TROY,” she said. “I want to say thank you to everyone who came to support me, especially my parents. They’ve put so much into me, whether it’s dance or pageantry, and I’m so grateful. I’m ready to be the new Miss Troy 2026. I’m ready to serve and be in the community.”
Candidates were judged on a private interview, an on-stage conversation, health and fitness, talent and evening gown.
