Troy University’s Rosa Parks Museum is partnering with Kwanza Jones, The Apollo Theater and the Jose Feliciano Foundation, and the Boost Bus to bring “Culture in Motion” Community Boost Block Party, a national roadshow uniting communities through arts and empowerment, to Montgomery on Sept. 5.

The free event will take place at the Rosa Parks Museum, 252 Montgomery St., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The section of Montgomery Street will be blocked to traffic for this event, which will also include the 1950s era Montgomery City Bus and a Greyhound bus from the Freedom Rides Museum. Registration to attend the event is available online.

Culture In Motion™ is a national arts and empowerment Roadshow founded and led by cultural architect Kwanza Jones. Powered by SUPERCHARGED® by Kwanza Jones and realized in partnership with The Apollo, the platform brings empowerment experiences and nearly 100 years of cultural legacy directly into communities nationwide.

Through live performances, storytelling, creative engagement, and the SUPERCHARGED® Boost Bus™, the Roadshow transforms public spaces into hubs of joy, connection, and cultural momentum, meeting people where they are, amplifying voices, and expanding cultural access.

Culture in Motion serves as the inaugural activation of the Producing Partner Program created by the Kwanza Jones & José E. Feliciano (Jones•Feliciano) Initiative, which she co-founded. Jones•Feliciano Initiative’s Producing Partner Program is designed to support long-term cultural platforms through sustained partnership rather than one-time funding. The Apollo is the program’s first Producing Partner and beneficiary.
