The votes have been tallied, and the Dothan Campus Library won the 2016 Festival of Trees Viewer’s Choice award for designing the best Christmas tree inside Everett Hall.

Twelve departments participated in the contest, which was voted on by the public throughout December.

Coming in second was the Office of the Vice Chancellor’s tree and finishing third was the “money tree” by the Sorrell College of Business.

The trophy will be on display in the library.

Interim Library Director Donna Miller said the contest was a fun way for the departments to come together.

“We did something similar last year, but this several more departments wanted to take part,” Miller said. “It was a lot of fun, and the trees turned out wonderful.”
