Troy University is excited to announce the addition of Kait Lynn Nesbitt as the Communications Coordinator for the College of Health Sciences in the Office of University Relations.

A native of Troy, Ala., Nesbitt earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design with a minor in Photography in 2019. During that time, she also married her husband, who works as a dual-certified flight nurse and paramedic.

Nesbitt joins TROY after founding Velaris Marketing and Design LLC, where she managed multiple projects for local companies, including Wiley Sanders Truck Lines Inc.

Most recently, she served as a project manager for Productive I.T., overseeing a diverse range of clients and managing their social media accounts while also building custom websites for companies in Montgomery, Ala.

Earlier in her career, Nesbitt worked in marketing and advertising sales for The Troy Messenger and as Marketing Director for Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne after graduating from Troy.

“Troy has always been my home, and I’ve always sought opportunities to help my community,” she said. “I want to see the College of Health Sciences thrive and expand its impact—not just in the Troy area but also in surrounding rural communities.”

In her new role, Nesbitt plans to leverage her marketing expertise and healthcare insights to promote the College of Health Sciences and contribute to its growth.
