Troy University has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Ann Webb as the Communications Coordinator for the College of Education within the Office of University Relations.

A native of Evergreen, Alabama, Webb earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications from Troy University in December 2024. During her time as a student, she was actively involved in several campus organizations, including Alpha Gamma Delta, Campus Outreach, and the Compass Club. Webb’s professional experience includes multiple roles with SHORT The Squirrel, Alabama’s literacy mascot. She began as a social media intern and later advanced to the position of Project Manager, where she played a key role in expanding the organization’s outreach and promoting literacy initiatives across the state of Alabama.

As the Communications Coordinator for the College of Education, Webb will focus on enhancing the visibility of the college while strengthening relationships with alumni, students, faculty, and the broader community. Her background in communications and strategic outreach will support the college’s objectives of engaging key stakeholders and informing the public about its programs.

“During my time at Troy University, I not only found a place I truly love but also became part of a community deeply dedicated to helping the next generation reach their fullest potential,” Webb said. “Troy University didn’t just equip me with the skills I needed — it gave me the confidence to believe in myself. As the Communications Coordinator for the College of Education, I am excited to shine a light on the ways our University has lovingly cared for its students — past, present, and future — and to share that story with the world.”

Matt Clower, Senior Director of Communications at TROY, expressed his excitement about Webb’s appointment.

“We are excited for Elizabeth Ann to be joining our team. I believe she will do a great job of bringing together our alumni, students, and staff to strengthen our communications efforts,” Clower said. “We look forward to her contributions to the College of Education and her continued work in supporting the university’s broader goals of community engagement and student success.”
