Former Trojan Lauren Chandler has been named Director of Development for Troy University’s College of Arts and Sciences and College of Health and Human Services

A native of Malvern, Alabama, Chandler is a two-time TROY graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in print journalism and a master’s degree in strategic communication. During her time on campus, she was a majorette in the Sound of the South, a member of Chi Omega Sorority also interned in the Office of University Relations.

While obtaining her master’s degree, Chandler was employed at TROY in the International Admissions and Recruitment department. After four years in this role, she accepted a position with the Pike County Chamber of Commerce. In 2018, she returned to TROY working in Alumni Affairs through 2021 before taking on a new opportunity at Copperwing Design, a branding and marketing firm.

On Dec. 1, 2022, Chandler was reintroduced as Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Health and Human Services.

“I hope to bring a fresh perspective to this role,” she said. “I’m looking forward to meeting even more alumni, connecting with them and showing them ways they can give back to the University, knowing their gifts could have a big impact on the University and the life of a student. With the addition of the Center for Materials and Manufacturing Sciences and Jones Hall, there are so many ways people can get involved and see what TROY has to offer.”

Chandler has been married to Edward Chandler of Troy for eight years, and the couple reside in South Montgomery County.

“TROY just feels like home. Whenever I leave it, I miss it,” she said. “Troy has become my unofficial second hometown, and I’m excited about serving my Alma Mater in this new role.”
