“Preludes are individuals who are clearly on the path of being legendary despite being under the age of 50 years old,” said. Evangeline Reynolds-Gunn, Planning and Directing Chairperson. “Her career is impacting the conscience of many individuals, and we wish to say ‘thank you’ for her sacrifices.”

“We envision a community thoroughly educated in the African Diaspora knowledge as it pertains to slavery. This knowledge liberates individuals from guilt or fear,” Reynolds-Gunn said.

Bolivar, who has been recently recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 by the Small Business Administration and as a 2024 Remarkable Woman by Nexstar Media Group, said the award was humbling.

“I am truly honored that an organization based in the Wiregrass Region would recognize me in this way, but the work of the SBDC is about providing the tools necessary for others to be successful. That way, our entire region grows and prospers, and I am thankful to be play a small part in that growth,” Bolivar said.
