TROY alumnus Boyd Busby (BS, Acct. ’99) has been appointed to the board of directors of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.

Busby serves as the executive director liaison on the board and will chair its Executive Director Committee. He currently is the director of the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy, a post to which he was appointed in 2015.

He also serves on NASBA’s Experience, Learn & Earn and ALD task forces. Busby serves on the board of directors for the Higher Education Partnership of Alabama, the Better Business Bureau Serving Central and South Alabama, the Alabama Association of Regulatory Boards, the Alabama Educational Leadership Hall of Fame Screening Committee, and the Troy University School of Accountancy’s Advisory Council.

Prior to being appointed executive director, Busby was CFO at Hodges Warehouses + Logistics, and an accountant with Hodges Business Services and the accounting firm of Warren Averett.

Joining Busby in service to the national organization is Dr. Steve Grice, a retired director of the School of Accountancy and a current lecturer in Sorrell College of Business, who will serve on the Education Committee and the NASBA Professional Licensing Task Force.
