Charisse D. Stokes, President of Tidal IT Solutions, LLC, will deliver the keynote address to graduates at Troy University’s Montgomery Campus on Thursday, May 21 in the Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts.
About 185 students are expected to take part in the ceremony, which will begin at 7 p.m.

Stokes has led the Montgomery-based information technology consulting firm since 2017, delivering innovative technology, strategic consulting and business development solutions to government and commercial clients.
In addition to her work in the private sector, Stokes serves as the founder and leader of The Alabama Collective, a nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating minority tech talent and supporting entrepreneurs across Alabama. Through this initiative, she champions workforce development, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.
Stokes began her career as an acquisition officer in the United States Air Force, where she developed a strong foundation in leadership, strategic planning, and operations. She has since held numerous executive and leadership roles in IT consulting and small business management.
She currently serves as a board member of Alabama Power Company and contributes her expertise to several advisory bodies, including the Business Council of Alabama and the Alabama STEM Advisory Council.
Stokes holds a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Auburn University at Montgomery. Her leadership and service have earned her recognition as a Power Leader in the State of Alabama and as a Distinguished Service to Education Award recipient.
During the ceremony, 114 undergraduate degrees and 71 graduate degrees will be awarded. TROY’s College of Health Sciences will award the most degrees with 103, including 58 associate degrees, 14 bachelor’s degrees, and 31 master’s degrees.
